What would happen if I got a phone from a 3rd Party and activated to my plan (Verizon)? PLEASE HELP!?

I have a blackberry curve but I like my old phone and I want to use it again. There are two blackberries on my plan. Can I use my old phone (that’s NOT a smartphone) and it not change anything like insurance?? Can I reactivate my blackberry at any time?? PLEASE HELP!!

Yup. You can switch out your phones whenever you want and just leave the insurance active.

However, right now you are paying for a blackberry web/net data package thats either 30 or 45 bucks a month. That will automatically come off when you change the phone, and come back on when you reactivate. Thats fine… I just wanted to let you know of anything that would change.

People do this all the time.

You can call cust service and have the phones switched or you can just power off the BB and then call *228/option 3 from the old phone to activate it. I would recomment letting a cust service rep do it since you will need to make sure the plan is ready to go on a non-PDA.
